About

Shale City Films is the personal site of Craig Anderson.

I am a senior-level creative producer and director who works with people and brands to help them tell their stories. With over 13 years of experience in the entertainment industry producing a wide variety of television shows, branded entertainment, commercials, and promos, I know what it takes to create engaging content. I identify the “who, what, when, why, and how” a project needs to be impactful and develop a plan for success, maximizing the available resources.

I was nominated for a News and Documentary Emmy for Outstanding Promotional Announcement, and my work has been seen on NBC, ABC, CBS, FX, CMT, OWN, Discovery, the National Geographic Channel, and the Science Channel. I’ve worked with CEOs, scientists, veteran Hollywood actors, hosts, and people with no on-camera experience; establishing rapport, guiding them through the process, and asking the questions that help them find the words and emotions that tell the story.

Having recently relocated from Los Angeles, I am now based in Raleigh, North Carolina, where I have learned to diplomatically see many points of view when it comes to barbecue (but the real stuff is seriously smoked).
